I would think Juvenile before BG.
And aren't all of those BG albums you listed as classic before 400 Degrees? If so, most rap fans out of the South didn't even know about them.

BG held it down before juvie signed with cmr and you're definitely wrong about most southern hip hop fans not having a clue about his discography lol. Unless you're talking about 90's 00's babies and most of them went back to the old catalog after hearing guerrila warfare, i got that work, checkmate etc.

My bad. I meant to write "outside" of the south. I know CM was moving a lot of units before they went nationwide.

@BmoreGorilla.

BG deserves to rep the south in at least one of the last polls you're gonna put up. I do not expect him to crack top ten but he deserves to rep the south for all time emcees and his discography speaks for itself.

3 classic solo albums
1. Chopper city
2. It's all on u vol 1
3. It's all on u vol 2

4 Solid solo albums
1. Chopper city in the ghetto
2. Checkmate
3. Livin Legend
4. Life after cash money

2 classic group albums
1. Get it how u live
2. Guerilla warfare

If ross, ti, wayne, 3 stacks, face and big boi get mentions then bg should at least get one mention in a poll. An argument can be made for the following emcees to get mentions at some point too.

Trick daddy-south
Playa fly-south
Brotha lynch hung-westcoast
Mc Eiht-westcoast
Twista-Midwest
Tech n9ne-midwest
Sean Price
Fabolous or mase
Some of them will be going in. Especially BG. What you think about Juvie?

His catalog is not as strong as bg's. He has one bonafide classic album with 400 degreez, a semi classic but bonafide regional classic with solja rags and a handful of solid albums afterwards.

He is way more consistent and arguably has a better pen game than bg tho. It wouldn't hurt to put him in a poll as well but I feel bg has to get a mention even if the vote count is mediocre

he wasn't a Backup
but Big Boi was in the spotlight
he had the solo tracks, all the guest verses were stylistically similar to his not Dres, etc...
This 3stacks worship is hilarious. I remember a breh on here saying that the label wanted Dre to go solo early on but he toned down his act to help save Big Boi's career
:mjlol:
