I think every region has their black mecca, doesnt have to be the city with the most black person per say, but just a city where the black community really runs shyt or ran shyt at one time, ORGANIZED street shyt.
For the east coast I would say Philly is that city.
Just like for the west coast I would say it is(or was) Oakland.

when you got motherfukkers from every state coming here to get into the industry
when we got the storefronts with the best accounts with brands that don't even stock in they city
nikkas coming to ny to shop or getting put on to new shyt by nikkas they know from the city

but if you on the east coast that just means you're close enough to catch these waves

i remember i saw a nikka in nyc wearing a leather bubble vest in the fukking summer time
went to the club and saw a nikka rocking a coogi with a MOP chain (before coogi came back)
my bol was from NYC and when he moved to philly he use to rock carolina blue maurice malone FUR pullovers with tan GUESS boots that look like those tariq nasheed lugz
only thing i give them is everybody is brave enough to try new styles but the styles just be trash
