I know the popular thing to say among some gamers is that "this gen suckz!" but thinking about it, it seems like things are ramping up to be GOAT levels by next year. It feels like the main things that caused slow roll outs of heavy hitters are starting to stabilize now(Namely new engines and dev tools.)
Seeing KH3 finally having progress, FFXV coming next year most likely along with the other big titles I'd say we're in for a ride. Then you have a JRPG renaissance going on as well as old genres being revived through indies(3d platformers, old school sprite RPGS, 2d platformers etc.)
I'd say by 2017 the latest we'll be looking back at how slow the gen seemed to be as a distant memory. This gen I feel will be>>>>>>
Not to mention VR looks dope.
