I think this is a great idea. Too many people make relationships their whole existence. You are an individual outside of your relationships and you need personal fulfillment.
That insecure "I need to constantly supervise you" stuff is played out. Relationships would probably last longer if ya'll gave them room to breathe instead needing to get your claws into people and control ever aspect of their lives.

She isn't taking 6 weeks away. She is taking her vacation and he is taking his vacation. The way the vacations line up just happens to be 6 weeks. But this is not a regular or normal thing for them.
They usually taking 1 week every few months.

Well I have a friend who HAD a wife(keyword had) and they were on that spend time apart, take trips with your friends bullshyt. Meanwhile my wife and I are okay with hanging out with friends or family but you better have your ass hold that night lol. If you got to spend weeks apart from each other why tf did you get married?
