You're correct. It says they are taking 6 weeks apart but in the video she says they normally take a week apart every few months.

She isn't taking 6 weeks away from him. Their schedules (because of their vacation times) are just lining up where it will be 6 weeks apart THIS TIME.

She's in Thailand and he's in Switzerland (I think that's where she said).

OP is trying to frame it like she's running off for 6 weeks. That's not the case.

I think people can exist outside of "relationships" and have their own hobbies and interests that fulfil them. I also don't think you need to "take a week off" your spouse every other month to exist as an individual etc
