When he was the new n!gga on Ruff Ryder and I was like yo, this n!gga got talent and gonna blow up for Ruff Ryder in the future like he's next DMX or something. Ain't gonna lie. I thought this n!gga was DMX's little brother.....but totally disappointed with his solo albums dropped then you know this n!gga ain't going no where.

Yo...Sheek went in with his opening verse breh.

You got to listen to Down Bottom because Juvenile on it.

This is one of my favroite track off RR Vol: 2 with Twista

Then he dropped these singles off his first solo album

I was so excited to cop his first solo album cause he killed it with the Ruff Ryder stuff and you got DMX, The Lox, Eve, etc but ended up disappointed like :wtf: and :scust: ....after that n!gga ain't shyt.

SINY!!
The production was weak on that first album (throwaways from everyone in-house at Ruff Ryders).....the 2 1/5 mic review he received from The Source hurt him a great deal (back when people for the most part took in album reviews with great consideration)

He was good for punchlines, flows, etc.....I think he could have very well made more of an impact but that first album was handled very poorly and doomed him before he even really got started

Word. I don't think kids today recognize how key that was. When you bought a wack album you felt like you got cheated lol. Wasted that lil bit of dough you had and there was nothing you could do about it

He had a buzz and they rushed the album out there.....which is sad....I wasted money on it as well lol. The "Ready For War" track on that album is a personal favorite....the sampled submarine sound effects, and that beat :lawd:

Rest of the album thrown in the bushes though

His album is just a small sample of all the artists in all genres who were hyped, then dropped trash albums that we ended up paying $9.99 and up for. When you are someone like myself who used to hit the mom/pop stores, best buys, etc and cop every release 1st week....you end up blowing a lot of money on trash.

I can't speak for others, but it fostered my whole justification for downloading. I figured "fukk that" these labels done stole enough of my money over the years and I'm just returning the favor.
