I'm saying Dawg, saying this chick is a talented r&b artist, is blatant disrespect to the goats like Luther, Maxwell,avant, etc, especially when she comes out the game with some generic bubblegum pop song....

Several things wrong

1. GOAT I thinking Prince, MJ, Sade, R Kelly, Marvin gaye, Stevie Wonder and etc too many names but Advant?

2. Second she's a writer, and do have many deeper meaning songs. She musician she can play the piano and guitar. She can actually sing!.......She a producer her mixtapes is actually what she mix master herself. She's a dancer. She clearly is talent but she just starting why you trying to compare her to GOATs? She need time prove herself first don't you think?

Anyway her idols are Janet and Sade.....

3. Also do you know what bubblegum pop is? I can tell you right now you can't sings about sex, drugs, or even swear. No none of her mixtapes or even 2 on is bubblegum.

3. She actually is alternative a lot of her production is leftfield, and abnormal to R&B.

If yall don't like her music just say yall don't like her music because she's alternative and not everybody is going get her music. And also stop telling me about she's light skin, I don't fukk with her music for her looks bruh.

One of the reasons I like her is because some of her music has the 90's and 80's R&B vibe. And also she extremely talented, Female producers are rare for whatever the reason.

As I said part of her style is alternative, the vocals have a drug out hypnotic vibe.

also i don't want to start anything but i notice most new black/rnb/pop female artist are light skin. i mean in the 90's dark skin girls had success mainstream as solo acts and in different groups. we all know a few of men(all races) prefer lighter skinned women...so to me it just seems like they are selling sex appeal more than actual singing talent.

I mentioned Goapele cuz op wants something opposite of pop records apparently...so Goapele is pure like that....but I don't believe the type of music she makes and her image would qualify nikkas to call her "the future" knowing she probably aint gon be a superstar....I said Tinashe had next in that thread he talking bout...im tryna figure out how a pop record disqualifys sumbody from bein the future,when ability to make a popular/relevant record is exactly what could make somebody be considered the future

I've been following her for two years now and she's got a LOT of potential but I don't like what they've been marketing her as of late. I'm not feeling that song she got with Q , shyt sounds like the same pop shyt that's all over the radio right now.
