Bush's last year

$349,700.00+ 35%

Obama's last year

$191,651 – $416,700 33% (there are 3 more brackets, the top being 39.6% beyond $418,400)

Trump's last year

$207,351 – $518,400 35% (the last bracket is 37% if you make over $518,401)


Keep in mind there were only 5 tax brackets under Clinton. Bush added a 6th. Obama got cute and added a 7th.

Obama kept the Bush tax cuts in place under his entire first term.... just like everything else he did, he only cared about getting re-elected.

Obama basically moved the goal posts by creating a new bracket to give cuts to high earners in order to garner praise or appease republicans.

Keep in mind in order to be considered in the top 10% you only need to make $138,031. Obama basically lumped a large chunk of top 10% earners in with the middle class.
