it’s like watching the Wizards :russ:

and the Spurs are in DC this week :leon:

Why is Derrick White not getting minutes? And why did they sign Carroll?

Derrick was complete ass and before getting benched was tripping over his damn feet. Although maybe he got tripped by Dallas but he looked discombobulated out there

They signed Carroll because pop likes how he dresses:dame:

Mind boggling. He has too much loyalty to "his guys" patty and Beli:francis:

Spurs problem isn't scoring, its defense. We have rarely seen White and Murray on the court at the same time. Who knows what Pop is doing.

if you still had Kawhi and Green, you can get away with playing them

But there's no wing defense
Bertans was a big loss... my Wizards have the 3rd best offense in the NBA with all of the shooting... and if IT wasn't playing they'd be middle of the pack defensively :dead:

At least pop changed up the rotations in the 2nd half ... But still it was i
Get rid of Derozan and let me guy Lonnie Walker cook

A dejounte Murray/Lonnie walker backcourt would be terrorizing teams on defense but nah I gotta watch Bryn Forbes jack up 15 shots a game and completely get blown by by his defender

The league-average of 3-pt attempts (in black) v. Spurs (in gray)

image11.png

2019/20:

NBA - 37.5% of shots are 3s
Spurs - 27.5% of shots are 3s

That's a 10% difference, and that's only against the league-average, the margin is even greater v. the top teams. The Spurs are simply falling further and further behind.

And the funny thing about this is, the Spurs bench takes a league-average of 13 threes a game, and it's the only reason why the team isn't already dead in the water.

Spurs bench: league-average 3-pt attempts, 4th in points, and 3rd in net rating.
Spurs starters: 30th in 3-pt attempts, 27th in net rating, and 29th in offensive rating.

In the process of trying to win without the 3-pt shot, the Spurs are literally only [barely] alive because of it.

The gray lines in the 2000-2010 range is where we had some of our best years. Seems it would not be a coincidence that we were around leave average or better when we won.

Hard to win without an offense that’s keeping up with the times :manny:. It’s a big reason the grizzlies never got over the hump.

I'm not giving up on Pop yet, but this shyt with his guard rotations is mind-boggling. I really don't understand it.

I get Dejounte is on a minutes/B2B restriction for now, but he's the best perimeter defender you have and one of your really good young building blocks. Try playing him more than 20 minutes sometime! Crazy, I know! And he only plays him for like 5-6 minute stretches and then sits him for 15+. How is he supposed to get a rhythm with spotty minutes while sharing the floor with DeRozan and Trey Lyles for most of those minutes?

Why the fukk is he playing Mills-White-Belinelli together so much? White and Murray could easily absorb Marco's minutes at this point and Mills should not be seeing the floor as much as White is. The five guard carousel is not working, nevermind the rest of the roster.
