I cant picture Kobe D wade or Bron losing that game last night....Pop definitely lost a step but this USA squad is fundamentally flawed.....you cant lose 2 exhibition games in your own country and then proceed to give up a game you were winning in the 4th quarter to lesser competition in the damn Olympics...its a sad state of affairs RN

Because dudes have egos. Do you really think Pop sees Coach K as a better coach than himself? Of course not. But he also respects K enough to fall in line as an assistant. He was always gonna use his own style when given the head coaching reins.

But Trae Young could have. The best half court player in the NBA and you don't call him up. You don't got no one who can create for others at an insanely elite clip like Trae. Let's be honest this USA team is not well put together and the other teams have way better chemistry as for the most part they play together longer.
Coach K has been autopiloting it like JoePa for at least a decade and no damn superteam with Kobe and LeBron is getting slapped up on the international stage. Dude probably wasn’t even drawing up real play half of the time.
maybe Klutch, Inc could’ve gotten LeBron to go to Tokyo for one last hurrah and somehow finesse some Space Jam promo in there and some other name brand players would’ve followed.
but it’s inexcusable that the bulk of the top dudes are not on this team. Half the damn squad should’ve been the new blood (if healthy) like Zion, Trae, Melo
