Look at all these clown ass nxggas showing up in the thread after missing for the last two seasons.

:picard:

Watch them scatter from this thread when the Spurs go on another losing run.
The Spurs have gone 0-2 since these clowns bumped this thread. They just got blown out at home against the Knicks.

:unimpressed:

WATCH THEM SCATTER.

Only won ONE more game than a team that is openly tanking.

:picard:

Let's see if the usual suspects show up to embarrass themselves again.

I wonder if Popovich is coaching for the wins record or if he is coaching because he needs to work. He lost his wife and when something like that happens, maybe the last thing you want is a lot of free time.

Of course, he probably still loves coaching and it can be as simple as that. Even without the winning. Who knows?

It’s unlikely that Popovich guides the Spurs to another contender. That ship has sailed. And you start to think and plan out what the Spurs future coaching staff should look like after Pop. Which ever way it goes, I hope there is at least SOME analytic element to it. Because from what I can see, the Spurs aren’t exploiting any inefficiencies vs teams this year. You can live with the losing if you buy into a plan and process. But I don’t see a plan. I don’t see a process.

Those 5 chips won’t ever disappear :mjlol:
Pop is one of the GOATs; the Spurs dynasty is one of the GOATs.

This thread has absolutely nothing to do with discrediting or taking anything away from what Pop has achieved. The fact you're in here trying to throw up this straw man tells me you've already admitted defeat.

Just need the rest of the board to show up and admit so. Then we can put this thread in the rafters.

I feel it’s a wrap for Pop. This will be his last season, especially after winning gold this summer at the Olympics.

It's a wrap indeed. Kerr taking over national team coaching and he out there coaching spurs for the money or he just can't let it go.

He's like 70. How many coaches in their 70s were adapting their style of game to the current trends?

Jackson got left behind too at a similar age when he tried to bring the Triangle offense back for the Knicks, while simultaneously shytted on three-point shooting.

Hawks
Rockets
Cavs
Warriors.

Not only were they the four teams that made the conference finals, but they were the top-4 teams in 3-pt shooting volume, and as we all know, the Warriors ended up winning the championship that year, which ushered in this 3-pt era. Phil was on the wrong side of history with that one.

Yes Phil been washed up since the Mavs swept the Lakers. A series where Mavs also attempted more threes and shot at a way better percentage.
