To the people who keep sayin that the chick was just "doing what she was told" by the producers of the show.

Did y'all ever think that August Alsina was told by his label/management to NOT talk about the Trey Songz situation?

He was probably advised to tell the hosts of 106 n park and their producers that he doesn't want to talk about it. Then what do they do, ask the one gatdam question that he requested them not to ask.

Ol girl took the bullet for her producers stubbornness. The producers set her up for public embarrassment. Blame them

There are better, more professional ways to handle it. A simple "I prefer not to answer that" and simply redirecting the conversation towards the album was all that was needed.

The way dude made it awkward for her, you better believe her and the producers will think twice before "going against the grain" on someone else. had he just said "i prefer not to answer that" in a polite way, they would still overstep on someone else next time without a second thought. will he pay a "political price" for the way he checked her? probably. but at least the next time he does an interview, people will think twice before disrespecting him. if the talent and hustle/game is strong enough within him, they won't be able to keep him out the game.

he appears to be really cool with angela yee and charlemagne off the air, so he prolly didnt mind chopping it up with them.

plus the BC sits down with artists management before interviews and if the management starts listing certain questions to avoid, then the BC tells them they'd just rather not do the interview. so obviously the trey songz situation wasn't on the list of taboo topics.

I'm almost suprised by all these nikkas talkin bout they haven't heard of him. I could understand not knowing his name but if you haven't heard any of his music then you're out of touch with what's going on out here. Especially if you don't know the "I Luv This Sh*t" record. It's equivalent to not knowing who Rich Homie Quan or Migos is.

I was expecting to see more based on the comments here. I thought dude raised his voice or actually came at her on some "leave me be" sh#t. Dude just told her that he wasn't trying to talk about....damn near casually.

From what I saw, dude just let her know that he wasn't going to keep rehashing an issue that seemingly keeps coming up for him....I assume since I don't follow this dude.

Yeah I was on his EP last year it was pretty dope..I usually don't get into the R&B Thug types but his lyrics were really soulful... It almost seems like some new era blues....I fux with the guy...
