Even TYT is against bail reform and defund the police now. Its a wrap
if they kept it to BRUTALITY, we win that argument.Defunding the police is not the answer. Getting rid off the problem officers is the answer. Expose the problem police departments. Expose the known racist officers. The problem officers be having highly questionable incidents on their internal records. These officers should be banned from policing. If they wanna police so bad join the military.
There is too much crimes and drugs in all communities to defund the police. That would not benefit the black community.
if they kept it to BRUTALITY, we win that argument.
when you go to "getting rid of cops" then the average person is wondering who to call if they get pickpocketed ...wont work
This story doesn't end well
Damn, even TYT using that “we need to be tough on crime” language. It’s the end times.![]()
Why you acting like you not happy? You one of the biggest pushers of this propaganda
Idiots like this are making it so easy for law enforcement and right wingers to lay the foundation for policy that disproportionately impacts Black people.

I don't mean this case specifically. But the sum of all of these videos of regular people being ran down on by criminals will lead to people begging for solutions. Gun sales for example are skyrocketing in some cities in response to rising crime.
There's gonna be a nationwide crackdown and it's going to disproportionately impact law abiding Black people.
Of course not, as I've said in many threads about similar topics, more aggressive policing will disproportionately impact Black people, many of them will be law abiding citizens, but there are many people that are so fed up with dealing with crime that they're willing to accept that as a risk.
It's extremely frustrating because it's like Black people are in complete denial about something that's in our face every day as if there's no such thing as stop and frisk that disproportionately targets Black people.
I wonder how the "individual Blacks" think the police go about choosing which people to stop and frisk, I'm pretty sure it's not based on content of character.
Many of us saw this coming miles away but it's not much of a prediction as it is history repeating itself. Black people are fed up with the violence in their communities and are desperate for solutions.

And this is the core question the people in those communities are looking to answer, the fact that "stop and frisk" was one of the possible answers they arrived at only shows how desperate the situation on the ground is. shytting on these people for their desperation is the wrong response especially if better solutions aren't being offered.

Prison abolition is a dumb idea. The police need to be fixed, but abolishing the police is as politically dumb as overturning Roe v Wade. Regardless of what you feel about police, prison, the criminal justice system in general, there's no teaching away our human nature. There's no amount of addressing the issues that cause crime that will negate our human nature. Human nature is going to have people doing dumb shyt, and it's going to have people who do smart shyt. There's going to be people who will want to buck the system, take advantage of people for their personal gain and pleasure, aren't going to want to live by your rules, wants to take the easy way out. Something is needed to deal with those people. Some people don't need to be on the street. The problem is the lack of fairness in the system, and having a system in place that supports and promotes abhorrent behavior of it's officers.Look, yall even got Cenk upset![]()
Whats that gotta do with the phrase?act like the system is working brehs
heres what we can see, statistically:
increases in police funding do not improve quality of life
increases in prison capacity create more criminal convictions, but do not improve QOL within the state
decreases in incarceration through early release, stopping cash bail do not increase crime rates
increasing militarization of police does not make communities safer from terrorist attacks (eg. white terrorist mass shooting)
