Not so long ago, if you told me I wasn't going to be making 7 figures, driving something foreign, going to a different city every week , and fukking models, I would've told you that you were out of your fukking mind and meant it.

Now I'm looking at my stats and I don't think it's going to happen for me. I'm 26 so damn near :flabbynsick: making just below 50k/yr :sadbron:, about to move into a new spot with my girlfriend, who is subtly pressuring me to make her my fiance. I hate to say it but I think I'm about to be married with kids, having barbecues flipping burgers with white ankle highs and sandals :why:

Or I could get on as a civilian merchant seaman with my homie, travel the world, and still hold on to my dreams for a while, I'd just have to let go of everything else go.

What would you do and is this a quarter life crisis?

Just below $50,000/yr at 26. That's not bad.
1. You are in a good position.
2. You don't have to get married. You are going to have to talk about that with your girlfriend.
3. I don't think the merchant marines is a good idea, unless your career goals line up with become a captain or something. It's kind of going backwards.

That's cool, but what was the path you were gonna take to get there and are you still at least remotely on that path?

It's okay money but it's not throw 5000 1's in a p*ssy club and not sweat it money.

I don't want to get married so soon but I know she wants to and I know shes not going to wait forever and right now I think she's the best package I can get. Don't get me wrong she's a pretty good package but I just thought I was gonna end up with an actress or something.

I don't want to be a captain but I could travel the world and still be free of responsibility.

I feel so... lost

After 30 you only have one thing to look forward to, responsibilities. Enjoy your life under the gun of elevating and maintaining your status while adding children to the mix. :whew:

You're only 26...you can STILL do those things, you just have to have a plan. No need to rush into marriage (or cohabitation, unless you want to) and/or kids.

Enjoy your life. Travel. Have Experiences...all while making strides towards all those things you listed above (I don't advocate cheating so everything you said minus ****in' models)...

at least you feel "secure", in the sense that you know how your life is going to play out. although, i know that's not the way for me to live because i would have adopted that course of life years and years ago. there are advantages and disadvantages to being in the position you're in. one advantage is that at least you know how you feel, that's the only way you'll really be able to shape your future if you know what you want and you can do some type of self assessment. the disadvantage is that you've probably become comfortable with how you've been living that it makes it less appealing to abandon your current course.

i've always believed that it's easier to become more secure as you get older than it is to take chances after you've become secure. but, you should still try. at least while you're still young. i'm only a year older than you and last year i moved to a completely new city, no job, not knowing a single person, just so i could do what i wanted to do. now, it wasn't easy, it and still isn't, but i can say i'm a shyt ton better off than i would have been if i just stayed where i was and just worked my job and didn't pursue music in a much more direct way.

you just can't be afraid to work for yourself and take chances on yourself. that's all it is...

So, do you love this chick enough to marry her, or are you just afraid of being single and alone :(

Yeah I love her enough to marry her, she's really dope but I've never fukked a supermodel doggy style on a balcony while watching the sunset in paris , I can't go out like this.... can I?:snoop:

I have a new plan and it's to have damn near no bills while I stack my chips on a boat and in two years come back well traveled and ready to make it big.

We already live together, we're just gonna move into a new spot and my name is gonna be on the lease. I don't advocate cheating either, so if I'm gonna give my dreams one last shot I'd leave her. I just with I could have her on hold though.

But if I leave my life now and I don't make it, I'm fukked smh...

and thanks Mr Somebody...thanks :beli:

I don't think that life is for me either breh, I used to be really adventurous but the more I gained the more scary I got and I've only gained steady income and a good girlfriend :sadcam:.

I'm on the precipice man. I can walk away from it and straight into a white picket fence and 2.5 kids or leap for a chance at a dope ass life but I'm too scared to do either... I'm just a scared kid trapped in adulthood.
