the more ads there are, the more users install ad blockers.. to bring in the same revenue, the site needs a shift in monetization strategy (requires an admin who didn't go to the bodega on a milk run) or more ads, more ads leads to more users installing ad blockers, which leads to more ads...
eventually only boomers who don't know how to use ad blockers are left and the ads end up getting targeted to them
I agree.
Most people don't mind ads, so long as they aren't invasive and kept to a minimum.
The amount of ads and annoyances caused by the ads is only going to drive more users away from the site or figure out ways to block the ads.

Brehs, I had to share, this is THE shyt. This is a free program you install on a Raspberry Pi (30 dollars). It's a DNS server with built in filtering. You can point devices at it individually, or, point your router at it to Ad Block your WHOLE HOUSE. :blessed: I have damn near no Linux...
