...but cringe to the depths of cringington when I hear Black people use the word out in public towards each other in front of white/non-Black people. :ohlawd:
(but especially when in front of white ppl)

It just strikes an extremely uncomfortable chord in me. I can't stand when Black folk do that sh!t.

Anybody else feel some type of way when you hear a Black person address another as "n!gga", in front of white people? Or does it not matter to you much? :lupe:

Do you do it? :lupe:
Or are you more conscious of how you address n!ggas when in those circumstances? :lupe:

ps - Ive been trying to cut that word out of my vocab and stop using it, myself.

I don't say the word at all. I just don't understand how you can be a black person, and feel comfortable enough to use that word around white people/non-blacks. It should be a word ONLY used around other blacks, I feel. I do know that a lot of these new blacks don't care if their white "friends" say the word, but thats a whole other conversation.

The unknown
I've realized that the more I've grown older, the less I've used it, to the point I barely use it. I don't know if its a maturity thing, the racial issues going on today, realizing there is no need to use it, realizing the "a" vs "er" thing is just stupid, realizing the struggles my parents and a lot of people went thru....I don't know.

I don't look really look down on people using it (most of the time), but it's just a personal thing where I felt that it brings nothing positive to the table when I say it, so why say it?

*looks at blatant contradiction in my own sig :dead:*
