I consider myself a hip hop head and a common fan, but I've never heard resurrection front to back. I actually didn't become a fan until LWFC.

You need to get on that. Resurrection is his best album imo. I like "conscious rapper Common" but a lot of his post LWFC content is weighed down by the preachiness and his need to always have a "message." Resurrection is just the perfect mix of dope wordplay and introspective lyrics. It's Common just doing him without feeling the pressure of living up to being a "conscious rapper"
