@mlk17 you have two routes to take apu or haswell, what @Liquid is offering with a haswell, build is getting a baseline cpu i'm thinking their duel core line cpu's that are pretty strong for duel cores later you can upgrade to a i5 which is stronger then anything amd makes even their 8 core cpu's but it may cost you around 200, on the other hand you can go with the cheaper amd apu build and call it a day, I built a apu rig for @Based Cheiftan years ago when apu where new and it came out pretty well and was cheap. What a apu is, basically a chip that is a cpu and also a gpu on one die, they normally offer mid range performance at a good price, gaming these days depend more on a gpu then cpu horse power so if all you are doing is gaming then a apu build is fine for 1080p gaming.
Now this is where it gets good if you go with intel you get horse power which can equal to doing task much faster then a apu ever could such as video editing, multi tasking ect, apu's also require more ram then a regular cpu. Tbh you can game just fine of 4gb ram on a intel chip don't think about doing that on a apu as you will need a min of 8gb of ram for any type of decent gaming. @Ciggavelli if @Liquid is doing a guide for a cheap intel build def go for it as in the future you could also upgrade it to a much better all around pc.

@Liquid isn't going Intel.

You know me, if I'm building a new computer I'm going all out. X99, top of the line gpu in sli, 16gb ram, 500gb or a 1tb ssd, etc.

But I game at really high resolutions. So my shyt ain't ordinary.

I already got money set aside for my next shyt. Once my income tax return gets in, I'm going all out (hopefully 8gb gpus are out by then).

I'm coming back with a monster rig. But that's in the future.

I got to reread some of this what cpu was @Liquid telling him to go with? and your set ups really do be unreal, I normally just go for the top of the line gpu and cpu at that time get a single good monitor and call it a day, but gaming like you on multi monitors maxed out has to be a thing of beauty :banderas:

can i find a cheap desktop thats already built (like on amazon) or do i have to build it myself??? i really dnt kno shyt about building pc's
when you don't do it yourself ppl will always skim out on parts if you prebuy it sch as cheap ram,psu slow hard drives or a cheap motherboard when you do it your self you know what your getting, watch some youtube videos it's pretty easy and you can do it all in a hour.

If you really don't wanna build it yourself you can go to cyberpowerpc.com and pick out each part you want and they'll build it for you.

Does it cost a lot more that way? I'm in the same boat as mlk17. I want a new pc, but I don't want to build it.

I wouldn't say a lot more. They're much cheaper than Alienware or Originpc for example. Plus you get to pick out each and every part unlike other vendors. Do a price comparison. I think what they charge is fair. They always win awards and shyt too.

Of course you can't get used shyt, but I'm not into buying used shyt anyway. So that $400 build is out of the question.

You pay a little bit more for the convienence, but that's worth it to some.

Building it is the fun part. Really not hard --super rewarding when you get your rig running smooth.

Plus once you done and figured it all out.. It kind of becomes an awesome side hustle.
