You setting yourself up for failure if you think it sweet. Where you from? How much you have saved? Do you know how to adjust (huge)? What boro fits your needs? Do you have a whip? The list goes on. NY is what it is. It a rough life but fulfilling and very humbling. What I would suggest is coming out and setting up at a hostel for a while ( month or so). Get a feel for the city and try to network as much as possible. In the interim, find a job. Make sure to factor in commute time ( delays) and car fare for everything. Get a roommate. Millions of Americans wanna live in NYC. So it's super duper expensive, and too expensive for most Americans.

It's the entertainment industry, if you don't have connections in a major city or at least a agent or manager then you are moving to a place with thousands upon thousands of other muthafukkers doing the same exact thing you are.

I'd create my own lane and start my own production company (which I did irl) and get worldwide offers for music and video placements. I ain'[t famous nor rich off it but I do eat.
