I been thinking about this too.

I'd go Steam Deck, especially if you already have a PS5. Access to PC games and Remote play all your Ps5 games.

Not a big fan of Nintendo, but I think they're worth a shot.

If u looking to play pc games on the go get a rog ally.

If all u looking to do is emulate retro games get a Retroid pocket 5.

If you on a budget but still want to play "most" games get a used steam deck,.

Why Rog ally over steam deck?

Can the Rog remote play PS5?

Now and days it's very easy to find a second hand rog ally around the same price u gonna find a second hand steam deck. Maybe 50-75$ more. And at that price difference i think it's a no brainer to go with the ally over the deck but that's just me. It does require more tinkering then a deck though. So if u just looking for a console like experience then i agree go with a deck.

Yea you can do ps5 remote play with Chikai. I played the majority of my Stellar Blade playthrough this way. The official app only recognizes ps controllers so yea u gonna need to use Chikai to get it working with ROG Ally.

Is this the legit site and is this what you tombout? :jbhmm:

Yea that site is legit. You can also get it from here and if u have a 20$ new user code this is technically the cheapest u can get it.

What are these? :jbhmm:

click the IG links I posted

they play old school games, they say they come with 15,000 games loaded

they're nothing fancy though, I'm a novice to new game systems and games but these aren't the steamdecks brehs are talking about in here

I suffer from insomnia sometimes so I'm going to get one of these or something similar to play when I can't sleep, biggest thing though is they won't hurt my pockets, they're not expensive so I don't mind taking a chance on one of these

worst case scenario is if I'm not satisfied I will just get something else

but hopefully some Arcadium brehs can look at the two IG links I just posted and tell me what they think

ROG Ally, reg or ROG Ally X

Also if you just want to go cheap, you can get one of these:

I like the ROG Ally better than Steam Deck, as it is a full Windows system, so it runs damn near any Windows program/app.
Plus the hardware/specs are better.

The steam deck is cool too, just a matter of preference.

Regarding the R36S I got mine off of Temu

LMAO!

It's all good Breh, I'm older too.

An "Emulator", is a program that "Emulates" the hardware of another computer/system.
It "Virtualizes" the hardware, via software.

It allows you to run original/older games(Nintendo, Sega, Arcade/Mame, etc..), on different hardware (PC, Mac, IOS, Android, Linux, Modded Game Console, Web Browser, Etc...)

"Emulation" isn't only for games it can be used to run a completely different Operating System, on different systems.
(Running Windows 10/11 on MacOS via Parallels Desktop, or Virtual Box. Running Linux on Windows or Mac, via Parallels Desktop, or Virtual Box.)

Nintendo uses "Emulation" to run their "Virtual Console" games, it makes it so that they don't have to completely re-code an older game to play on a new system.

There is also software "Emulation/Compatibility Layers" used for "Backwards Compatibility", (Example: playing PS4 Games on PS5).

Also both Sony and Microsoft use "Emulation" within their cloud gaming services to play older games (Gamepass, PS Plus).

I got this off Amazon. The RG556

Works great comes loaded with MAME games runs anything up to Dreamcast and Android

Edit: I don't know why it's not showing the preview link.

yeah handhelds slimmer than a gameboy that can play ps1 games and dreamcast games flawlessy for like 50 bucks

what do yall think of this?

or this

what yall brehs think of the games in my IG links?

this is just for now, I might get something more expensive in the future, just trying to kill time when I can't sleep

It's basically a more expensive R36S, you can get it through AliExpress / Temu for $25-30.

One of the guards at work let me borrow his, it's cool when you play the fighters, side scrollers n other similar games.
