im starting to realize it's not worth spending all this money every week. Paying a damn beaner for a mediocre line up, I could do myself for free. I'll probably go to a barber for special occasions.

Anyways what tools do you guys that cut your own hair recommend? Clippers, mirrors, etc

I started cutting my own hair 6 months ago. I shave it down real low and don't bother lining it up. I just set the clipper to 1.5mm and that's it.

I got tired of paying a barber $25+ to waste my time.

you dont need anything fancy, though id recommend spending more money to get quality clippers for the edge up. anything under $30 is most likely garbage and doesnt even get close enough for a good edge up.

if you just want to cut your hair even all around, you can just cop a con-air kit from wal-mart for about 20-25, get the some line up clippers for 40-50, and a hand held mirror. ive been cutting my own hair since my teens. when you line yourself up just use the same techniques barbers do. there are tons of vids on youtube for this. take your time. follow your natural hairline and just make it sharp.

“Signature fade with the Bevel blade, that’s a major key.”

There are plenty of helpful Youtube videos, on self-cutting though.

Above the fray.

Trimmer----small tool for shaving or lining up
Clipper---tool for cutting hair

Street heat gave you good advice. Invest in quality trimmers to give yourself a crisp lineup.Get a decent set of clippers to cut your hair. You can get a good combo set for 50-60..with both trimmer and clipper.
Andis,Wahl, and Oster are the big brands.

Next time you get a real haircut...take several pictures from different angles of your haircut. Depending on how fast your hair grows, a few days later.....re trace the shapeup with your trimmers....follow the existing lines.
