So many are "one trick pony" with rapping, everyone want to be an artist. Meanwhile hella commericals out here using hip-hop, you ever considered writing jingles? or Making educational songs for learning (rapping the alphabet or generally giving a hip hop feel to a learning activity)?

No disrespect at all brother, but I got a friend that wanted to rap. Bought a whole bunch of expensive equipment, paying to take classes at a community college on music, and taking online courses on music.

I have yet to hear any music from him. Hell I've never even heard him spit. He fell in love with the idea of being a rapper.

The first time I recorded myself I used my phone.

The first time I started rapping it was freestyling. Putting a beat on and just rapping about bullshyt.

Then I would catch myself coming up with bars that had me like

Then I would just start writing.

Freestyle. You'll find yourself getting better. Then you'll be motivated to write so that your bars are structured better.
