I was disappointed by Fall Out 3

I bought Fall Out 3 earlier this year, thinking it'd be just like Skyrim in gameplay. Don't get me wrong, the graphics and story are cool, but the gameplay is to me. Like, in order to kill the monsters and shyt you have to do that slow mo shyt where u target specific bodyparts Maybe it's because I was weak or because I didn't know what I was doing, but that shyt was a big turnoff.

Where did I go wrong? Should I give it another chance?

Yeah but for the times I was overmatched I HAD to.

i was put off by fallout 3 at first also. then i tried again and ended up putting in like 100 hours into both 3 and new vegas

Yeah but for the times I was overmatched I HAD to.

What exactly did you do after leaving the vault?

I don't recall ever thinking the game was so hard that I couldn't shoot enemies myself, and I explored a lot before doing the main missions. I might have died once coming across a random Death Claw early on, but other than that.... Besides, the fun-ness of the game isn't the combat, imo.

I was actually pleasantly surprised by the game, because I played it thinking it was a generic FPS. Boy, was I wrong.

What did you enjoy about it?

the combat system is amazing. VATS is dope as fukk. you see some epic shyt using VATS... limbs flying off.. heads exploding.. bodies disintegrating.
the presentation is very well done. really has that 60's vibe. the music is great. dialogue is entertaining. you can play however you want. the effects the good or bad things you do
have on your karma really make you think about the decisions you make. leveling and skills system makes sense. crazy weapons. its just a massive ass game. you can play for 30 hours and barely scratching the surface....

People call it Elder Scrolls with guns. I don't know man, maybe I have a different perspective because FO3 was my first title from Bethesda, but I really enjoyed the exploration, the fallout lore, and story. It's not for everyone though, I guess.

I suggest sticking to the main story until Rivet City. Level up and get some good guns first. STAY AWAY FROM DC AND THE NORTH/NORTHWEST AREA OF THE MAP. Supermutants ain't no joke.

I went to DC at the beginning of the game. I had to use that slowmo shyt and got killed way too many times.

I didn't hit DC until I was level 8 or so . Even then it was a bytch. I ran into my first supermutant wandering around at like level 2. I thought I was badass taking out Raiders until it rolled around
