I didn't hit DC until I was level 8 or so . Even then it was a bytch. I ran into my first supermutant wandering around at like level 2. I thought I was badass taking out Raiders until it rolled around

Question. Has anyone ever played as an evil character? I've played FO3 and New Vegas several times, and always play either good or neutral good. I can never bring myself to be a true a$$hole.

I suggest upgrading your stealth and strength.

Get a place to stay so you can store shyt. You can either find a place in the Wasteland, save Megaton or the other.

Also, make sure you got a sniper rifle, hunting rifle and shotty. A hunting rifle can be a 1 hit kill if you haven't alerted the enemy. When you get the plasma rifle later

Explosives for ranged and deathclaws

Melee everyone else

Embrace vats, its letting you plan your battles, its an asset

Stay out of DC for now

Do the wasteland survival guide

Find Jericho

Befriend Jericho, no matter what it takes

It takes a lot for me to "get into" single player games these days (because they're typically so mediocre) I really enjoyed Fall out 3 tho. I like it way better than Skyrim.

If you're going one on one it's best just stay in FPS/TPS mode.

With VATS all you're doing is wasting ammo early in the game and really most of the time at any point.

It's best used when scouting an enemy nearby or doing a sneak hit.

Charon is the GOAT companion. no moral compass he got ya back no matter what. and he's a fukking sniper with that shotgun. put him in power armor and he's never going down....unless he's raped by 3-4 deathclaws
