Of course he gotta be held accountable and he was punished by doing 10 months in jail. But meds aren't a cure. You can slip up and say F it, I'm fine without them now. And you may feel great. Then the illness takes over in full force again.

I don't disagree with you, but either a person resigns himself to taking the prescribed dosage and schedule of pills or has to be institutionalized for his own safety.

Very true, but that dont mean the other thing aint true as well. We very rarely if ever catch a break for mental illness. They just call us animals and stick us in a cage. We always just criminals when we fukk up. When they fukk up its always "well now he/she can get the help he/she needs".

And i can sympathize with u cause manic depressive disorder and schizophrenia run in my family as well, and im no exception. Im sorry u had to go through all that especially as a child. I know nothing i can say or do can ever make u unlive all that, and i know how hollow the whole thoughts and prayers talk can sound. But for what its worth hold this rep, cause surviving that kind of fukkery alone is commendable, let alone thriving. Aint enough rep points or daps in the world to reflect the strength and perseverance it takes for folks like us survive and thrive
