I’m late but in honor of Father’s Day I thought I’d start a thread. Apparently this is “unheard of” to some people so I’ll answer questions :blessed:

Facts:
Parents been divorced since I was five
I’m his only child

I’m ready :lupe:
Does your mom have any other kids?

Do yo get along with them?

How did he handle teaching you about your period? This question is serious btw

Are you close with your mom if she's living?

I’ve always read a lot so I was kinda self taught but normally he’d have his sisters come talk to me. He wasn’t “weirded out” by it but they just knew more.

Our relationship is not the best. It’s gotten better as I’ve gotten older but our issues are kinda separate and not the reason I grew up with my father. Ive always preferred living with him over her since I did bounce back between the two regularly at first (tbh I think she always knew I preferred him and felt a way but I don’t/didn’t give a shyt.) I finally stop bouncing when I was 10 and just didn’t go back to her house.

That’s good

When it comes to your hair and clothing, did he have help with that
He did comb and style my hair in the TIGHTEST plats possible when I was little “So it could last all day” nothing extravagant. Special occasions like church, graduation, etc. he’d get a cousin to do it or just take me to a beautician.once I got to middle school I’d style my own hair unless again it was a special occasion

Clothing wise was simple also. Let him tell it boy clothes were “cheaper” so that’s what he’d buy most of the time but again female relatives would buy me more traditional girl clothes. As I got older and started developing into my figure I gave him more pushback because those generic clothes were UGLY and he swear up and down anything that didn’t fit like a potato sack was tight and revealing. Once I hit about 7th grade he kinda stop caring since he saw I didn’t want to wear anything actually crazy anyway, just more feminine
