Viagra has been out so long it's generic now, this is a terrible analogy.
Some of the biggest reasons people don't want the COVID vaccines are how quickly they were made and also the possibility of unknown side effects. Why would anyone worry about that with a drug that's 20+ years old?

I have friend of a friend that is married and he gets a massive headache everytime he takes it for 24 hours. Now he's at the point where he just wants to get divorced and be single because the post nut headache is too much


And apparently that is a very common side effect for all of them dikk pills. Like it's expected 25% of the time.

Yet you have people here making a big deal about 7 in 3 million people getting blood clots.

Welcome to modern medicine.

If took 5 years, multiple stops due to due/bad side effects, and finally was approved with 40% efficacy people still would act like idiots about it. Instead you've got the closest thing to a silver bullet and people would rather risk getting COVID instead. People are stupid.

If it took 5 years to create, the number of people concerned that the vaccine was "rushed" would not be as high. That number is never going to 0 (as evidenced by people who are still concerned about vaccines that have been out for a long time), so yes there would still be some people. I don't think as many though.

Also, I'm not arguing whether or not it's a valid concern. I'm saying comparing this to Viagra, a drug that has been out 20+ years and is widely used...is a poor analogy that does not make sense.
