The first black superhero turned out to be gay even though white men killed both his parents and his wife parents. His white lover convince him to go public as a superhero using his popularity to push his own agenda. He was in Tulsa and saw his parents and the entire community murdered by racist white people but still was in a relationship with a white man. That part of the storyline was so unnecessary in the show.

You're 100% right! I didnt really focus on those parts of the script too much because my attention was on the Tulsa riots. I NEVER knew about that until I watched Watchmen. Those sneaky mfers hit me with the okie doke!

I liked US until I realized it was about immigration.

TZ is hit or miss. My biggest problem is how cheap it looks. Production values for TV is at an all time high but this show looks like something campy from the early 2000's.


Excited for LC but HBO is known for the first few seasons being good before committing dat.

The first two episodes and a flashback prequal episode were the only good ones.

Two major pet peeves I have in any fiction(there are others but these are prominent here)...
1. Actions that break the established world logic
2. Actions that break basic "common sense" given immediate circumstances



A lot of it here seems to stem from "style over substance" issues and suspected political pandering issues.
I.E. the director/writer wanting to depict certain scenes so bad they ignore how those scenes fit the larger (world narrative / immediate context)

This show does that shyt in spades
