1. First off - that beat, doe. That's a great beat for a story rap.
2. The song is about "My nicca 'C', he from Texas, i'm from Tennessee".
We do our thang with them thangs, making currency..."
..."get on a plane every weekend and visit, I would visit his town and he would visit Memphis."
It's no secret that Ball and UGK used to rock wit' each other.
And we know what Pimp C was doin' wit' them thangs.
And Pimp was always in Memphis for one reason or another.
3. "In walked a woman, she was C's fiance' - he told me he loved her and would marry her one day.
Her name was 'Angela', damn she was fine/I admit I had evil thoughts rushin' through my mind..."
There are a couple songs from back in the day where Pimp was talmbat 'Angie'.
They could be fabricated, true. But it makes the story interesting.
4. It is great to be awakened by the smell of breakfast...and then going to the kitchen to see
it being cooked by a half-naked woman (who isn't your mama).
5. "Ended up fuccin' it - I guess i'm a weak man..."
This is different from the automatically assigned ethos of rappers: "I fucced yo' girl, and what?"
It's the more everyday sentiment "This is my dudes' girl, I've crossed a line" -
especially considering he did so twice in the song.
And Ball feels this way regardless of the fact that he and C "hit the town" later, doing whatever
men who "hit the town" without their women do, like "take the nicca clubbin', Embassy Suites with freaks".
6. "If C finds out he might flip and try to kill me, and I ain't the type of nicca that's gonna feel guilty"
This is a cold line because it says that if he's found out it will just be whatever wit' his boy, and he'll have to
do what he has to do.
7. "I flew home the next day still reminiscin'/ not believin' I just dikked on my homies' misses..."
This was a good ending to the song because this way the conclusion you reach is that he got away
with it. So, you form your own thoughts as to what that means for him.
Dope song, doe.
