Doesn't Samsung use USB type-c? It should be able to charge off a type-c laptop charger. Iphone's with the lightning port severely limits your charging options.

you wanna use a 65 watt usb-c charger to charge your phone?

These phones are nothing more than storage for apps. These phones are nothing without the apps.

And now most apps you have to either pay, subscribe and pay more, or get bombarded with nonstop ads

I was tripping when my alarm app for iphone had a "premuim technical support" suscription for $1.99 a month...

I see where the future is going so I slowly backed away from the phone stuff....

Games on android phones are the worse. Since they pretty much let any apps get into their store, you will have these simplistic apps with popup adds every 2 minutes. They also eat up RAM and data.

Samsung are doing the same thing.

The difference being newer iPhones don't get along very well with 3rd party chargers or cables. I'm using a cheap charger and USB-C cable I got for like $7, total, at a flea market on my phone which only cost $130.

Imagine paying $1100+ for a high end device but having a problem with paying $10-15/month for the warranty/repair service and having to use 3rd party parts with no guarantee.

Options:

1. Get AppleCare/+
2. Get an Amex card that covers accidental drops/losses with a $50 deductible. (Some banks offer cards that come with phone coverage too)

There's no reason to be out here naked.

The hassle of dealing with repair shops is a waste of time.. I can take my shyt to apple have them give a new one in less than an hour.

They do, but I think he was specifically asking for the charging brick.

Both iPhone and Samsung/Android phones all use one end which are USB-C for the brick.

The overwhelming majority of iPhone users do JUST that. Complain. Especially about costs. Like they don't want to pay for ANYTHING. Apple Care is a forgotten memory and their providers' insurance just replaces the phone, data be damned.

One option you left-out: Repair it, yourself.

You can't take them to Apple right now due to COVID. Even before that, you had to schedule an appointment. Repair shops take-up the slack and provide warrantied repairs...... except the latest models because Apple won't sell parts or software to fix the devices they manufacture.

80% of iPhones, worldwide, have had to get screens replaced. Even with cases + screen protectors. Also, you must have forgotten about the iOS updates that either killed your battery or bricked your phone.

I don’t drop my phone b I guess I’m the 20 percent
