I love my locs. I retwist my own hair. It's so easy. Going on 2 years. My hair is a little past underarm length but my hair was long when I stared them. My hair also grows faster than average

Yours will probably feel light since you don't have as much shrinkage. Your neck will get used to the weight as your hair grows, but when it gets wet is when you'll really feel it because your locs soak it up like a sponge.
