Was it tough for you to pick up other instruments after learning on one?

Made it a little easier honestly. The theory and a lot of the terminology doesn’t change. Just the technique, obviously because the instruments are different. Once I found a good practice routine on piano I just applied almost the same format to other

@315 how much do you need to practice the guitar each day/each week to make that amazing progress in a year?

Consistency is more important than the actual time. Getting in an hour a day is better than 4-5 hours in one day and never practicing again that week. And everybody's different, some people are gonna pick up things faster/slower than others.

My new job has made it tougher but when I got into the habit of practicing I tried to get at least 2 hours a day on each at least 5 days a week but once you start to get decent you’d find your self going over that easily without even realizing it

When I first started to learn (this is different for every person), I would do 15 min, then take a 5 minute break, then repeat until you hit an hour. If you get basic music theory down, it makes things easier.
