Yes I did,and my rule of thumb was to always befriend them. So just in case they did decide to snap.I wouldn't be involved because they would warn me before hand, by calling me and advising me not to come to work.

It helps in my case that the weirdest cat in my area at work, works as my partner.

EVERYONE works with such a crazy guy. There's one in every office and every group.

These people are odd balls with thinning hair and jingly pocket change. They can't get sex; their parents are dead; they have no prestigious group affiliations.

They are in the military, on police forces, in law, on medical teams, in secretarial pools, in day care centers. Unfortunate b*stards ABOUND.

That's why I'm polite to people and aloof with fockers. I do not know what they are going thru or whether they have anything left to lose, so I let 'em live.

i remember in high school someone in our school found a hitlist of students. they found the student who supposedly wrote the list and he said he wanted to shoot all of them. the kid was a dorky/nerdy white boy, who was very smart (but dumb), not many friends and probably teased a lot. i had one class with him, and i remember thinking he was a bit 'different' but he was still cool. friendly. but off. glad he only left a list and never had a chance to act on it. no idea where he ended up but i hope to never see his name pop up in the news later in life.... otherwise

What's funny is that people always say that everyone that shows these signs should be reported. These people don't realize just how many people out there are a little off but aren't ever going to actually snap.

I knew a guy in high school who was clearly off but was interesting because he had a lot of controversial political and religious views and even though he seemed like that quiet weird guy, he would verbally or physically son the shyt out of people that stepped to him. He would occasionally talk about how it would be cool to walk into a supermarket and just shoot people and asked if I agreed and of course I said no. It's not like reporting it does any good. They can't put him in jail. In our society, if someone is willing to do something like that and isn't afraid of the consequences, there is literally nothing that can be done about it.
