This nikka came out of nowhere, literally :dahell:

He wasn't even in the conversation a few years ago. Lebron and Kobe were obviously the big dudes in the league. But in terms of younger cats, people were more concerned with Westbrook, Rose, Durant, Harden, maybe Khawi, Wall and Paul George. I don't remember anybody even talking about this nikka like that. Especially not to the extent they were focusing on cats like Westbrook and Durant. Curry came out of nowhere and snatched the crown from EVERYBODY.

52% from the field
46% from three

It is pretty remarkable from Curry, for sure. You just wonder how long it'll last.

Reggie had seasons shooting 50%, but he never shot 46% from 3. And never attempted 11 of them per game (Curry is averaging 11.1 three point shots a night)

Guys have led the league before in 3s, shooting in the high 40s or 50s....but they usually only shot them about 3 or 4 per game.
Kyle Korver (last year's hot shooter) only attempted 6 per night.

he was in the conversation for those who actually watch the shyt.

when all yall idiots were saying Chris Paul, Deron Williams and Derrick Rose were the best PGs i was steady saying Westbrook and Curry. Now look :myman:
The homies had an argument last night and dudes swore Kyrie Irving is the best point guard in the league and at least top 3. I couldnt believe what I was hearing and if anything he's #5 or 6 to me right now.

1 Curry
2 Westbrook
[*]Rose
3 Paul
4 Parker
5 Wall
6 Irving
7 Lillard
[*]Rondo
8 Lowry
9 Walker

Is Kyrie Irving seriously that good to people? :dwillhuh:
Thats what the fukk I kepy telling these coli nikkas man :ohlawd:. But they didnt wanna listen.

Curry and Westbrook are easily the best PGs with Rose out
when me and blackthoughts were saying Curry and Westbrook were the best PGs in the league yall was out here talking about Rose, Paul and Parker\

Well yes.
For now, it's a volume thing.

Players have shot at those percentages before, but never with as much volume as Curry.
In a way, this is sort of a test. If Curry can continue to be this effective at this high a volume, it's going to cause more teams/players to do the same.

In that sense (and I really, really hesitate to make this comparison), it's sort of like a Babe Ruth effect -- from the perspective that, everyone thought it was foolish to try and hit home runs...until Ruth proved he could do it way more often than people thought possible. It seems that we all think shooting a lot of 3 pointers is foolish...but Curry is proving (for now) that it can be done more successfully than thought possible.

I, personally, do not think all these 3-point shots are sustainable. At least not for most teams/players. But this clearly looks like a special case in Oakland.

nobody did. even if you were on that steph curry wave from back in his college days, you didn't think he'd be literally be breaking the nba. what he's doing is unprecedented right now. he's completely dominant from the perimeter like shaq was in the paint. we've haven't seen a guy like that before.

i'd bet that his percentages drop a bit over the course of the season but even still, he'd be putting up freaky good numbers.

oh, it's going to last for a long time breh. y'all better get use to him being the best player in the league. he doesn't have the athletic abilities u expect in a superstar, but his skill set is legendary. his shot alone will make him the best player for a long time.

yeah, i could see the potential in 2011. i always thought hed be top 5 player, but he has ascended his game to legendary status. i always wanted this for rose but it just ain't meant to be :mjcry:
