nobody did. even if you were on that steph curry wave from back in his college days, you didn't think he'd be literally be breaking the nba. what he's doing is unprecedented right now. he's completely dominant from the perimeter like shaq was in the paint. we've haven't seen a guy like that before.

i'd bet that his percentages drop a bit over the course of the season but even still, he'd be putting up freaky good numbers.
:usure:

I might've been the closest one -

June 2012 (after the season where he averaged 15 ppg and only played 26 games) -
If only Curry was healthy on the regular - he got the potential to be a top 5 player in the game:ohlawd:

He's playing great and is on his way to becoming one of the greatest of all time if he can keep it up. It's amazing to me how so many teams still have a hard time guarding him even when the Cavs showed everyone the blueprint on how to slow him down. Which is to get physical with him as soon as he crosses mid court and try not to let him shoot in rhythm. He's still going to put up numbers, but his teammates feed off his offensive energy. When he struggles, they struggle. But despite all of that, he's amazing to watch.

Folks got to stop with this tired narrative. A good thing about Steph is that if teams sell out hardcore like the Cavs did he's totally willing to give up the ball and let his teammates play 4 on 3. The problem early in the series is that they had Bogut being the release man. Once they let David Lee and Draymond start being the person setting the picks and catching passes at the top of the key the Warriors started running through the Cavs. Not only that but Steph is great at playing off the ball as well. So when the offense has started sputtering this year when teams force the ball out of Steph's hands they've let Draymond and Klay handle some of the PG duties and let Steph work hisself open off the ball.

The best way to play the Warriors it try and let Steph get his and try to shut down his teammates and hope he doesn't go for 50 on you.

The narrative is not tired because it's been proven to work. If you get physical with a jump shooter and throw their rhythm off they usually don't play well. Steph is a great off the ball shooter and scorer as well, but you don't just let him score and shut down his teammates because his teammates feed off his offensive success, which is why they're currently undefeated. At some point, a team will have to focus on not letting him get into an offensive flow, which will throw the team's offensive strategy off balance. It will be tough because he's such a great shooter, but it can be done.

I expected him to be very good, like borderline All Star Millsap good but not superstar, best player in the league good. He wasn't really a PG at Davidson and even when he played it, he was known for taking some poor shots but now he's such a beyond elite shooter, he doesn't have a poor shot.

This used to work with Steph and does with MOST shooters in the NBA but Steph handles and body feigns are out of this world especially this season. You can't come close to him to body him or you getting crossed over and bad.

Steph is probably the hardest cover for a perimeter player I've ever seen. He completely shyts on even the athletic dons like MJ and Westbrook at just being a bytch to defend. Don't forget his crazy ass passing skills and his teammates are all really damn good.

I know one dude who had been hyping Curry since 2012 as the future GOAT. He posts on another forum and has literally gotten everything about Curry's career correct since that year.
