nikkas don't realize that MJ averaged like 33ppg on like 52% shooting over a 10 year period (if u take away his 2nd season where he broke his leg and only played 16 games, still scored 63 in the playoffs). That shyt is unheard of. How Steph is automatic from 3, MJ was the same from mid range and was by far the best finisher in the league.
Low key though, Steph is automatic from mid range too
I'm trying to tell y'all steph really ain't that skilled offensively like some of the great scorers like mj, Kobe, AI even penny.
It's just he's such a threat from three he can easily have defenders at his will. They're always jumping at him expecting him to shoot at any moment. Steph is smart so he's just reacting to them and hitting em with the same fakes, string of moves to set up the 3/mid range or he can just blow by you if play him close up at like 25 feet
On top of that he gets almost half of his 3s off random broken plays or transition where teammates are always looking for him and know he'll be waiting for the open shot
And then there's the pick and roll which Goldenstate has perfected.
And their ball movement is amazing and it usually ends up at curry for the open shot.
So my point is that.
Currys really good at the 3 so that makes the rest of his offensive game so much easier. He appears more skilled than he really us. M It ain't like he's breaking you down in a Iso, or post or dunking over 7 footers.
He's hitting like 5-8 3s any given night. That's 15-24 points. When a player is this hot from downtown, the rest just comes easy.
You ever notice how easy it is to get past a defender when your 3 point shot is hot? That's what it's like for curry right now all day every day.
Defenders fear his shot so it opens up the rest of his game.
Tell me how good would curry be if there was no 3 point line?
Jordan would still average 30+
Kobe and AI would too.
Penny could politically get 30 on you just using post moves.
Take away currys 3s and give him some bums as teammates and how well rounded offensively is he really?
He's not even in the same category as Jordan or even Kobe.
