I would only trade Lebron and KD for Russ West

:ohhh: this always confuses me when people bring up Jeff Green like he's a great top 15 player or something. Coli in general seems to overrate him for some reason.

green... was sooooo awful glad he's gone. he'd be a good backup player though. brooks refused to bench green for ibaka. he had a love affair with him at the 4

That's what gets me about him when he is mentioned. He'll have that monster 30 & 9 game then fall off the planet for 6-7 games before having another good game, & people don't seem to notice anything other than the 30 & 9 game. Him leaving got Ibaka the time he needed to develop & Serge>>>Green.

It might be used against the Thunder because it brought Perk here :yeshrug: only thing I can really think of. Even then the problem isn't so much Perk as it is what Perk is being paid :yeshrug:

Russ is a great player and his attacker mentality is very beneficial for that team because he creates havoc for opposing defenses plus he's kinda hard to read because he'll do something that's a stupid basketball play but somehow get it to work out.

He's a good on-ball defender but he's pretty average off the ball and tends to watch the ball more than watch his man which leads to a lot of botched defensive plays especially when teams have two good ball handlers on their squad. A team like the Healthy Suns would show Westbrook's weakness at off the ball defense.

He's a great rebounder and an elite transition player. Only two better are Lebron and Durant. He's also pretty damn clutch.

I think he's very good but he has definite flaws, mostly in his decision making. I also don't think he's quite a guy who can be the best player on a championship squad. Give him 3 more years to focus on his decision making, polish up his offense, and he could be top 3.

That's at the peak of his potential though and if he becomes a great decision maker. I think he's probably top 10 overall. He's playing very good but he benefits playing with KD by a large margin. KD is such an offensive threat that he typically gets the best defender of the team and he tends to draw the most focus from defensive game plans.

Simply put, Westbrook typically lights up the weaker of the perimeter defenders on the squad he's going against because he plays with Durant.

It's like the Monta Ellis / Dirk combo.
