Start off with the Bruce leroy/shonuff feud still going through their seeds but they ultimately team up to take on some cobra Kai type cac dojo trying to shut em both down and open up shop.
They can have Bruce and Shonuff both running dojos on their side of Harlem, and have some Movie star hipster Jean Claude Van Dam cat wanting to open up a Gentrified Crossfit hipster Dojo in Harlem (and he is being bankrolled by the mob or something) and he is going to try and buy out one of the existing Dojos (gentrification) and have Bruce and Shonuffs schools team up to take on the Hipster Dojo.

I agree, but you would have to comprimise on that aspect, back then old nikkas "no pun" intended could carry a movie aimed at a younger demographic.......in todays world......youngins don't want to see 30 year olds making "hip" movies.
They would have to switch that whoel platform.........and make the characters and the story a coming of age story.........that's the only it woudl really work.
It should be a sequel with as much of the OG cast as possible. Taimak can still get busy with the kung fu. Build a story around him

A bigwig real estate form has been muscling many residents and business owners to sign the transfer of title with the help of goons.
Shonuff's son, played by Deon Cole, had evolved his bully tactics away from street fights and into the real estate game.
He walks around with a suit, instead of a karate gee, but it's just as menacing as when his father used to terrorize the neighborhood.
Bruce Leroy's son, played by ?, Is much more confrontational than his father, role reprised by Taimak, and throughout the action packed reimagining, the Rebirth Of the The Dragon will have to learn to control his power and take the fight to the community level in order to save the neighborhood from losing its identity.
Will Bruce Leroy II be able to inspire the whole community with the glow?
