do people still disagree with me ? wanting them to fail is harsh I know I could have worded differently but I still would rather see the Wii U get some attention instead of Xbox One
Wii U WILL never catch on that is a dead system walking. I know everybody hates MS right now But the last thing we want is the X1 to completely fail. We have to have competition. Sony is not your buddy or friend. If they are the only ones they will fukk you like any other company.
X1 needs to fail so that no company ever tries this DRM & SPY-CAM bullcrap again...
Consumers are so passive about protecting the few rights they do have. Could you imaging if this nonsense DRM was applied to all goods. You can't resell you smartphone without HTC receiving payment. You can't share your big mac without paying McDonald's a sharing fee. You can't sell your car without the new buyer also paying the car manufacturer....
Get real.. DRM is unacceptable. And, it is not like MS is going to lower new game prices since they are leasing the game to you and you don't own it. If new game prices were lowered by maybe $20 to $30 I think DRM would possibly be acceptable...

X1 will not completely fail. It might not live up to expectations sale wise but it will not get Dreamcasted. MS is way to big and have to much money. They will change policy before that would happen.
It will struggle due to it being substantially more than PS4 and The U. It will struggle due to DRM. It would struggle because there are people who will not buy a console engineered to operate as a SPY-CAM that uploads video and audio to MS....
There are so many reasons this console might be a dud...
Wii U is off to a slow start but that will change dramatically starting this Fall thanks to a nice stream of N exclusives and decent multiplats into the Spring of 2014....
I think what you fail to understand is the general public does not know or care what us gamers are arguing about. Yes the PS4 has a lot going for it. The Xbox will sale. I hope it falls under expectation because I don't like the extreme drm. But I will get a one because it has the games I like.

Eeeeeeeeexactly. People fail to realize that what sony did was a reaction to the things microsoft did. Without that competition, there's no telling what would happen. So now im sure microsoft will do something to win back people that overreact(like the person that said the kinect was a spycam
) and in the end we all

The general public & casuals will go to the store and buy the console that is $100 cheaper... That is what the general public will do...
Gamer's are overwhelmingly indicating that they prefer the PS4, hate DRM and don't want Kinnect Spy-Ware....

Just like Sony was punished for their arrogance last gen...time for MS to take their medicine.
this, if PS4 blows XBox out of the water, M$ will probably drop the policies that everyone's complained about, or at least try to make them more consumer-friendly. If people show they don't care about the restrictions and XBox has strong sales, it could lead to even worse policies next-gen, from both M$ and Sony.
