Its really weird how different it is. When you're watching Dominican & Puerto Rico play each other, celebrations seem totally normal and part of the game. But when a guy in a US game does it, you know shyt is about to go down.

Culture just doesn't translate sometimes.

Yup

I can imagine the white outrage if they saw the Satchel Paige legend live out wherw he told all of his fielders to sit down as he proceeded to strike out all three batters he faced.

:wow:

The best example i can think of is that I have been to restaurants where it was rude to finish your plate because it means you were underfed but I have also been to restaurants where it was rude not to finish your plate because it means the food was shyt and you were rejecting it.

Every culture has their own little things they've decided are right and wrong and I think at some point people like Kinsler need to just accept that while an American guy would be trying to show people up if he pimped a home run, that isn't the message that is being sent when a guy from DR does it.

Clearly this dumb fukk didn't watch the end of the 2013 WBC. When DR played PR, DR was winning and celebrating every out like it was the last one. At one point Angel Pagan after he got K'd was getting aggravated over it, but once DR got the last out and they celebrated and won the title, Yadier Molina took the whole PR out of the dugout and DR saw that and they both embraced on the field and showed the ultimate respect, because at the end of the day, they respected each other and respected the game.

Caribbean fans feel under attack by US fans because somehow our way is wrong when in reality, nobody appreciates the game more than countries who view the sport as a means to having a life. Nobody's way is wrong, but it's much more enjoyable to play baseball without a stick up your ass.
