I was like chill man, I have these for spiritual reasons and I'm only taking this job until the summer when I'm going back to school for IT with a focus in Gender Fluidity and LGBT+ Advocacy. These racists always trying to hold us down man. But it's ok, me and my dad are looking into a warehouse job. I talked to a dime Afro Latina about it :regindapuss:"

I was having this talk with my mother earlier today. Yeah, I know the answer, but I wanted to make this a topic.

I personally AGREE with this brotha. As Black men, our job is to protect our sistas. Had this discussion with my stylist yesterday that did my locs about this. Also, it's the job of the Black queen to hold us down. I love my Black sistas. Lord knows I do.

Why is it that professionals from the trades don't give lectures to these high school students. In my opinion that's some sad shyt because NOT every student is college material or cut out for it. If I could go back (smartest kid in my class) I would have taken my A+ cert in my senior year. However, because I didn't know I was bamboozled too. Now, I'm not knocking college at all. Still, trades are just as good. Hell, I took a trade. This year, I earned two certifications (couldn't make it to graduation doe).

Point is, you can make just as much money with trades too. My uncle is a welder and makes bank. I have a couple fam that does HVAC/Electrical work.

Trades need to be pushed to these kids who ain't doing college. I'm still prepping for my cert I'm taking next year. Took the class and passed (A+). Figured PT wasn't for me, but I learned a lot.

PSA: If you haven't voted this morning GO VOTE.

Aight, as yall may know I may get a couple tatties next year (after saving up from my job *putting in apps*). Anyway, I was thinking of getting a septum piercing and once of those circular rings in my nostril. Also, I was thinking of getting three tats when I get down in size. Good size now, but I want to get lean.

The tats I want to get....... Continent Of Africa in the middle of my chest (small) and it's gonna say Pro Africana down the bottom. Also, I want to get a tattoo that says 'Chocolate Datty' basically the slang version of daddy. Only the thotties call me that  I was gonna do Chocolate Papi, but that's too close to Drake's Champagne Papi.

Anyway, what was your first experience like? Did it hurt and how did you make sure your piercings/tats didn't get infected?

I'll admit when I can't do it by myself and this time I couldn't. So, I just had to admit this shyt to myself. I had a job coach come over Wednesday to my house. Filled out some paper work (shyt gave me depression). We had a little problem with the dreads shyt, but I told her it's for spiritual reasons. I've noticed that White folks are noisey as a bytch.

Anyway, she asked if I was a Rasta and I said no. She's gonna see if adjustments can be made. Because I brought up sistas and microbeads. She couldn't :juelz: her way outta that. Anyway, she and I going searching for call center jobs.

I've said this year and next year is fixing me and in 2020 I'll find true love. That's my goal, having a relationship with myself. Then, getting a girl (someone like me) to settle down with because I'll be 26 in 2020.

P.S. don't know how I got unbanned, but someone came through on twitter and told me in a PM from this site.

The shyt in the past two years has been hectic. From my mother getting her leg amputated and going through that. I almost had a nervous breakdown, but shyt is picking up now. Good that I have a therapist. Now, I'm trying to see what mental issue I have, so I can dead that shyt. Have an evaluation soon (TMI, but had to be honest).

P.S. I aint gonna make threads heavy like that anymore.

My coli days are numbered getting too old and getting female attention now.

Anyway, I love the lightskins too. Africans are diverse. Just because you light doesn't mean that you are half European. Look at the continent and us being the original people.

Anyway, I love reading up on genetics and I was looking at some old @Diasporan Royalty threads with central and western african women. The types of complexion of brown and dark with us men and women made me realize that brown skin and dark skin is the TRUE exotic.

Why? Because deep down inside most of us know that those two colors are where it's at. Coming from a brown skin.[/QUOTE]

I'm speaking on a mainstream level and NOT independent level. Also, I put AA because I'm not talking about Blacks/Diasporan folk in general.

I remember the days of 'female' (hip-hop) where it was Pro-Blackness, hate that word, but I'll use it to convey a point. Women like Sister Soldier, Queen Latifah, and the others I can't name that made women stand strong. Also, our Black brothas who were doing the same (Public Enemy) with 'Fight The Power.

How did we come to today and lose control? We have people who aren't even of African descent controlling our culture. These types put up people like, Cardi B, who in fact HATES Black people. Our young daughters and youth look up to people like her. She's called Black women cockroaches, disrespected haitians, ricans, and Coretta King. What boggles my mind is we still support people like her.

This is why I hope people like Rapsody (getting to listen to her stuff) breaks into the mainstream. We need good representation of our people. I'm tired and I know @PhonZhi is tired of our people being mocked. Crazy how these same owners have stocks in the private prison industry.

Even Love & Hip-Hop and some of these reality shows exploit our people and paint us all in that same box. My friends and I (All Black women) touched on this.

I want to see shyt like this again

Anyway, that was just my little soap box.

Have a good holiday or whatnot.

P.S. rappers aren't the only ones. How about those Black preachers who sell us out and those so-called Black politicians?
