Do you mean how bad things have been for Black Americans? That whole scenario you just saw plays out every day, multiple times a day, in practically every city, county, and town where my people reside. Armed and sometimes masked thugs, supported by various governments, storm stores, houses, playgrounds, and more to arrest Black Americans in broad daylight and the darkest night.

So the people who have been dealing with this continuously, while other ethnicities looked on, are not going to distress over a situation we've seen over and over again. The only difference now is that the same sort of action is happening to non-Black Americans, and they are distressed and terrified. They thought we deserved our mistreatment. Now they're finally learning that it was all just part of the system's pogrom to harm what it considers the undesirables.

That's my point, the fact that people are used to it and "not distressed" is an indictment of how bad things are. I'm more worried that, paradoxically, the fact that is so common, and indeed has been for Black Americans for 400 years (and Native Americans before), can be somewhat accepted as "well, that's just how things are". That's essentially what the decolonial thinkers say : whatever happens to the minority who is treated the worst will, sooner or later, extend to the rest of the population, because they let it happen and allowed it to be "normal". I accept they have their own agendas and push them. I expect them to have one. What I just find interesting is that they expect us to not have our own. They have shown us that they only really care about what is best for them. That is perfectly fine in my opinion. I personally, and many others in my ethnicity, are just following suit.

So I have nothing against them, I am just pointing out that our positions do not align. In that circumstance, I suggest we take a page from the book they have written in the past, focus on our own issues first. So no anger towards them, just amusement and apathy.
