fukk that guy.

He didn't prove that people care about ALS.
He proved that all these hoes just like attention and getting wet.

:beli:

people being very cynical about this, but it was just a way to bring attention to it. before the challenge nobody gave a shyt cause its only 30,000 people affected by it. of course most people doing it are just attention whores, but this plays on people's need for attention to bring attention to their cause. its actually quite brilliant if u ask me. even if most people dont donate, celebrities always jump all over whatever internet fad is popping and we already know they sure are donating. if not for this corny ice bucket thing, who would ever think to donate to ALS?

The only way you can appreciate this "challenge" is as a marketing/PR success.
But why is it a success? Because people care? Or because people are attention whores?

See, you're not wrong, but people only care about the success of the platform and not WHY.
I care about the "why's" in life.

Go ahead and ask people what ALS is.
I know what it is. It's Lou Gehrig's disease. The fukker died like 70 years ago.

People doing the challenge STILL don't know shyt about the disease. They just got wet on camera and had laughs.

fukk outta here.

yea but u cant generalize. i didnt know what it was and now i do even tho i didnt do it(i donated tho). turns out thats my homey's father in law died of 2 years ago so him and his wife are happy about whats going on. even if it just gets the convo going and only 40% of people learn about it, its progress.

I'm gonna make a pernil this Saturday now. It's on my mind.
Gonna tell mom to make un moro de gandules

:blessed:

:ohlawd: throw in some potato salad and some tostones and thats a meal fit for a king

Now I want some ropa vieja (I know it's a Cuban dish, don't come at me bro :beli: )

On a side note, what exactly is in a morir sonando? I've never had it, but I just think the translation is hilarious

Also, :dead: at the thread turn

the thread turn reminds me of that snl skit about big papi where he kept mentioning food :mjlol:

morir soñando is a mix of orange juice and milk and sugar. some add lemon (best way imo) or vanilla or both. amazing drink.

Stephen Hawking has it as well, and the one player from the New Orleans Saints. shyt is vicious and it's really degenerative on the body, like in 2 years all of body cannot move. You retain clarity but you are in your own prison. :sadbron:
