Ice Cube Calls Out Warner Bros. For Refusing To Make More ‘Friday’ Sequels

The issue is about ownership. A successful franchise you created that has grossed millions of dollars and influenced Pop culture and you have no say in whether another movie can or cannot be made.I don't care how shytty a new sequel would be, that's Ice Cube's franchise to ruin if so pleases.

OK then hopefully he owns the franchise so he could do whatever he wants with it.

Original one was funny, the next friday was ok, and then it happened what happens to most comedies, it got washed up

The truth is a grim reality and that reality is that Friday is a overrated flick that spawned two trashed ass sequels. The only thing I remember about the third one is the "dikk is better than yours" scene and Kat Williams squeezing Terry Crews nuts with a wrench

Friday After Next is one of my favorite Christmas movies. That’s all I got to say

Cube has enough money to finance it on his own

All 3 are entertaining to this day.

Cube was too busy playing around tho & let everybody get too old. That movie should've came out back in the late 00s.

Now two of the best actors in the series is gone.

Me and my wife went to John Witherspoon's stand up before he passed and he ended up talking about why another Friday never happened. He said cube didn't have the rights to do it himself and warner brothers didn't want to pay anyone a proper check to do the movies. He made it a point to talk about how they all felt the same as Chris Tucker when it came to Friday, they were all bigger stars than they were when they made Friday and they were not willing to take a small check while the studio raked in millions off their work.

He said he only made like 15k from the first Friday.
