Think Four Seasons . . James Brown . . Jimi Hendrix. There's a reason you see all of these movies set on recording artists now, the format isn't going to change
these arent rappers.
these movies arent intended for the same audiences.

You don't get it . . yes they are
no theyre not.
cmon son. you think the same people watching the four seasons are gonna watch the NWA movie?
Isn't Ice Cube producing this joint?
Look folks, if dude is putting up 20 million to make a movie, then you know what... he has every right not to want to risk that on a dude who didnt look like he could hold down the role. As far as his son goes, its his son and he maybe dude is willing to risk 20 million on his son pulling it off but he aint will to risk that much on lil e, next off plenty of good movies have 1 bad actor in them, very few good movies have multiple bad actors in significant roles.
the movies are going to be in that type of format . . the NWA story would even work with the same storyboard. This is a Hollywood film that will be produced to exemplify the NWA story, to sell records to a new generation. Who do you think the NWA audience was?![]()
and the point is the movie shouldnt be in that format.
thats why notorious is already forgotten.
Notorious is going to look like the child left behind in comparison to these movies . . it came before the era it was meant for . . the era of musician's autobiographical films. The NWA script is perfect for the silver screen but you've got to be out of your mind if you think newly-minted billionaire Dr. Dre is going to let himself be depicted in some run of the mill hood film
why does it have to be a run-of-the-mill hood film? youre the one taking it there.
what does that even mean?
sounds like some self-hating and/or degrading chit(depending on what race you are).
We are talking about major motion picture . . guaranteed #1 at the box office . . nobody wants to see an NWA hood flick, they were entertainers navigating through new terrain of the industry
boyz n the hood, mennace II society, juice, paid in full, etc etc were all major motion pictures.
nobody wants to see a prissy ass NWA movie unless theyre culture-vultures.
eazy was a dope boy. bring in somebody that can capture his essence.
Unfortunately this isn't a movie for the hood, this is cross-over . . it's a movie for showbiz
Paid in Full is a poor rendition of a real-life story that has the potential to be a major motion picture, however it's a hood film designated straight for DVD
the hell are you talking about?
paid in full was indeed a major motion picture. lol @ this str8 to dvd chit.
and lol @ "a poor rendition of a real-life story".
i see exactly who im talking to now. good night.
