no vaseline was probably a huge moment during its time but in hindsight it does not match up with diss classic tracks that came out later, plus the whole metaphor used for the song was highkey , "he ended their careers" the group broke up but mc ren was the only person whos career suffered from the song and dre became bigger than cube a year later

Hit em up was a gigantic record. it was by far the most brutal diss involving a mainstream artist and it's impact was enormous. Ether was a huge record too but at best they're close, but I think Hit em Up was bigger.
