A lot of people especially non hip hop heads will associate cube with movies especially Friday

But

Straight Outta of Compton album

Amerikkka’s Most Wanted album

Kill at Will EP

Death Certificate album

All classic

Then dropped the legendary single Today was a good

Friday and Westside Connection first album

Dude had a crazy run and even today with the big 3 and smaller projects still doing it
Amerikkkas and Death Certificate was absolute classics. He paved the way for a lot of nikkas and no one else really made movies like he did.

Cube was massive in the 90s and a hiphop staple.

Loved and respected by all hiphop, from the purists to the streets.

Dudes 90s presence alone ensures him Living Legend status.
Respect..

Lethal Injection is right up there with his early 90s stuff

War album has some timeless bangers
Peace album has its moments

Westside connection first album is classic

Pac and Big directly copied Ice Cube's formula on their debut albums

Nasty Nas has a heavy ice cube influence "just another day in the projects"

Thing is Cube fell off SO DAMN HARD so damn early......

cause he scrapped the OG concept for the Predator album (blending heavy metal and Reggae and rapping like das efx) after the riots happened and
thank goodness cause the whole album would have sounded like wack versions of Wicked (which was a dope song but the other songs he made like it
didn't sound good at all he said which is why Half the Predator album was OLDER songs that didn't make the cut for his first few projects and he would have never recorded "good day" so the OG Predator album was gonna be ass it was basically a fluke that it was as good as it was..... 92 he was already slippin'

Lethal Injection was a big fall off.(other than the bop gun remix)...Cube went from being a leader to following nikkas that was following him
...Pac dissed him in an interview as a fan "I used to look up to Ice cube now he's copying me"
and 99% of the shyt he did after that ain't worth even speaking on

the classic shyt he did early on, and the weak shyt afterwards....he ain't underrated.....he's being rated fairly

this shyt is super wack
