Go about it however you want. I believe in Global Black unity but I understand your sentiments because there’s a lot of colonized minds that come here and disrespect even the most African Centered of Black Americans. They don’t represent the majority but they do represent enough of us to be a problem. Those of us with sound mind sympathize with your cause and hope for the best.
Here’s the thing, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Black immigrant suggest that they deserve Black American reparations. If they did then they were extremely ignorant to do so. America and the rest of the West owes Africans their own case of reparations, same with Latin America, Asia, and Europe. Let’s be clear, if white people decided to give out reparations with regards to the enslavement of Black people and everything thereafter, no African would ever want a piece of THAT particular cake.
With that said, they owe us our own cake too. Which is a separate case from your argument, but they are chapters in the long continuous book of crimes these whites have perpetrated. Simply coming over here in order to survive is no form of repayment for the destruction they’ve caused in Africa. Nor does Black immigrants arrival from the continent and other parts of the world mean that they just chose to come here on a whim. Compared with any other immigrant group, Black immigrants clearly have the most humanitarian justification seeing as how the continent has been and still is, being kept in a perpetual state of slow development if not full blown underdevelopment and/or chaos.
td;dr: You don’t choose to flee to the robber and destroyer of your country, you’re forced to. And we don’t want your check but we support your fight to get it, them and the Europeans and Arabs owe us one of our own and we’ll pull up on em in due time.
Some of Cube's list is really good, the other stuff is too much of asking for government to step in as the solution.
