We can't say how the alternative will turn out because we haven't tried. We have 60 years of history that says voting Dem solves NOTHING.
I'm not assuming anything. I'm saying we try something different since voting 90% Dem gets us their asses to kiss and poorer.
We don't know becuse we've never tried anything else. What is there to lose at this point?

Triple Agent: "I'm sick of not losing weight. I'm going to quit exercising."

Rhakim: "That sounds like a bad idea. Exercising is better than nothing. There's a lot of other reasons you're not losing weight, like you eat too much junk food, you're stuck in a desk job all day, and you're stressed all the time. I know most of that isn't your fault, but exercise is the only thing even keeping you close. Why not try to work to change the other things?"

Triple Agent: "Nah man, that other shyt is too hard. I've been exercising my whole life and I've never been skinny yet. Exercise solves NOTHING. I'm going to stop exercising completely and see if I get fitter that way. What do I have to lose?"

Are you persisting with this position, even though it is erroneous and we have proven it to you to be so, because you secretly support Trump but feel uncomfortable copping to that?
I support whoever is for Black empowerment, which currently is nobody.

You haven't proven shyt, just given the same cowardly talking points. No one can tell me how voting Dem like we do will advance Black people, or even stem the bleeding.

Onto ignore you go cac.

The cowardice :wow:
I will assume you are a Trump supporter. It’s the only plausible explanation for why you would advocate for such an obviously stupid idea.

If your stepfather is beating your mother, but she won't leave, call the cops, or your uncles to beat him down, why would he stop blacking her eye every few days? Where is the pressure to change? He's getting away with it and being rewarded for his bad behavior.
If your stepfather is beating your mother, do you think that if you ignore the situation, your stepfather will approach you to make a deal? Doesn't that sound ridiculous? Where is the pressure to change?

If the choice is advocating for yourself or not advocating for yourself, I think it's pretty obvious what the more effective method is. If you don't like the current Dems in power you have the option to primary them for someone you find more suitable. Unfortunately only one of the two major political parties is even willing to hear us out, and so we're forced to work within the system. No one said it's fair, it's just the situation we are in. Only way out is revolution.

To add on to what @NYC Rebel said, in lieu of economic power you could also try organizing. If you could build political pressure at the local level and find a candidate who is willing to work with your group, you can then use that candidate to put pressure on the rest of the establishment. Showing you have a motivated block of consistent voters is the best way to have your voice heard. It's the reason union voting blocks have so much sway. Obviously money is still the best way to get a say, unfortunately, and starting up a legitimate grassroots campaign is waaay easier said than done, but there is a number of ways to advocate for the causes you believe in and every single one is going to be better than refusing to participate altogether.
You're making the assumption that convincing a voting block to stop voting is going to magically earn you negotiating power somehow, and that's the complete opposite effect of what will happen. Most of the country does not vote, and when candidates are seeking to appeal to voters, the non-voters get ignored. It's a method that's been proven to be the most effective. It's the reason Dems tend to trend rightwards in an attempt to persuade so called swing voters rather than trying to galvanize non-voters.

A lot of people have been very patient in explaining why your idea makes no sense, including myself. If you actually care about wielding political power for causes you believe in, then there are many people in this thread who would be willing to help you figure out the best way to do that. When you deflect and refuse to engage though, it just makes you look like an agent trying to manipulate people into not voting for nefarious reasons. If you really do have policies you would like to see enacted, what are they?

Purposely mangle an analogy to fit your narrative, brehs.

The funny thing is alot of black people especially older black people have strong social republican views. Highly religious, anti gay/LGBTQ, anti abortion, pro gun etc. The republican party has truly fumbled the bag in terms of getting black support

So your response is to deflect again and refuse to engage.
:why:
This guy is clearly an agent. :camby:
I've been engagng (beating Dem shills with logic a 10 year old could grasp) all through the thread, I'm not explaining it all again. Read the thread. If you wanna get right to it, answer The Question, and that will show who is right if you're honest with yourself.
