What if he actually feels that way? Why shouldn’t he be allowed to voice his opinion?

I don’t get into political conversations because if you begin questioning a certain political party the assumption is you follow the other party. It’s exhausting.
White supremacy/supremacist isn't politics. I know you crackas and c00ns like to make RACE seem like a political stance but it's not.

A political stance would be something like taxes, infrastructure investment education etc.

If you can prove me wrong, feel free to do so.

It’s more than selecting a or b

Because not voting and voting for an Independent candidate are choices. It's literally impossible for what you said to be true. If you have a multiple choice test with A B C & D, if I don't pick A I don't automatically get graded as if I selected B, no matter how unlikely options C and D are.

Also, answering C & D doesn't automatically mean your second choice was A. Seems they assume all other votes should have been Dem votes if people were thinking clearly. lol

There’s other variables outside of our control at play here.

I understand you want it to be a simple choice, but it’s not. Until laws are changed (ranked choice) C, and D will do more harm than good

Shows you how well the media in this country has distorted how the average citizen thinks.

It is a very simple choice. Ranked choice isn't even needed here. I know this is partly beyond the scope of this discussion, but the illusion of not having credible choices is a problem with current voters. Options C and D, even if they don't seem like they will work NOW, can work in the future if enough people vote on what they don't want instead of settling for "well this is the lesser of two evils" thinking.

Choosing C and D also puts massive political pressure on those that win through A/B with small majorities or low margins. You and everyone else would know the Republican or Democrat is not popular and could be ousted at any moment. But once again, the average citizen cannot think long term and is held hostage by a political media doing the thinking for them. The title of this thread is a critique on the Democratic party not helping black people - a sentiment echoed on this very forum for YEARS as posters complained about the LGBTQ movement getting preferential treatment and the villainization of black men.

40 pages in and look at the discourse. A man that never turned his back on the black community is being called all types of c00ns just because the typical person feels he is going against their "team" and established rhetoric.

Yea, independent would be great if Republicans don't vote Republican. You sit there complaining about short sightedness, but are cool with republicans running shyt for however many years, while we figure this independent thing out. We unfortunately don't have time for that. By time we figure it out, republicans will have changed laws, assigned more judges, etc.

Last thing is, that black man you mention has 0 smoke for Republicans. He hangs around Republicans. Uses Republican Talking points. What are we supposed to think?

This doesn't even make sense, especially at the local level and for House elections. If Republicans keep voting for Republicans in a Democratic county while everyone else entertains the option of voting Independent, they are still going to lose. It also overlooks the point that you just seem to intentionally miss or just don't understand - it doesn't matter solely about either of those parties. Both can be terrible choices despite you thinking one is more wicked than the other.

"Republicans running shyt", "by the time we figure it out" - these are ridiculous fear mongering ideas. Now you are trying to paint the picture of Ice "hanging around Republicans", "using Republican talking points". You aren't as far from the Republican racists you denigrate on this forum.

Asking "what are WE supposed to think?" is part of the problem. YOU should figure it out yourself by doing your own thinking. Maybe evaluate your own stance and consider you MIGHT be wrong. That a guy who has been pro-black his entire life hasn't changed at all and this all started because of his stance on the Covid vaccine and the treatment he got from Hollywood and the associated media. A stance that many BLACK people shared when Trump said vaccination would mandatory. Maybe, just maybe, you aren't as smart as you believe if you can only view things as Us vs Them and are ready to cast out someone who has decades of history that shows he isn't what you now think he is.

How is it fear mongering when we're watching it happen in real time? You're sitting here waiting for the "GODTIER independent candidate" while it's been shown Republicans are out in full force during election time. They are not waiting for shyt

Maybe you should be the one trying to "figure it out" instead of insulting another Black Man's intelligence (which I never brought up). I don't care what you did back in 89, people change. I'm going to take into account how you're currently acting and move accordingly.

If he chooses to ignore some things the republicans are doing that’s on him

I’m not going to attack that man directly. All I can do is post my opinion and why I feel that way. No need to attack someone else for the same.
